Python Pizza: Donation of 11,000 Euros to “Médecins sans Frontières” (MSF)

A particular sign in these challenging times: Since Python Pizza, scheduled for 25th April 2020, could not take place at the Manufaktur Mannheim due to the Corona pandemic, a virtual event was organized instead. Considering the current situation, the organizers decided to donate all revenues from registration fees and sponsorship money, a total of 11,000 EUR, to "Médecins sans Frontières". KÖNIGSWEG, as a long-time supporter of the Python community as well as a sponsor of Python Pizza, is happy about this meaningful signal of solidarity in difficult times.

During the virtual event, over 30 different talks were held in which developers shared their experiences and insights from past projects - KÖNIGSWEG Managing Partner and Data Science Consultant Alexander Hendorf also participated as a speaker with his talk "10 Things You Should Know About spaCy".
All in all, Python Pizza was not only a great opportunity to exchange new knowledge about Python programming and experiences, but also to do something good by supporting health professionals, who are currently doing their best and needing our help.
We would like to thank the Python community!
