After an investment has been made, many investors tend to turn their critical eye from the company and to trust in the business idea of the sponsored company. Thereby, the time span after the investment is one of the most critical in the founding cycle: According to a study by CB Insights, most start-ups fail approximately 20 months after the last round of financing. The average value of the funds invested was 1.1 million €.
