The Future of Employment

Richard David Precht at Capitol Mannheim

On the evening of 5 June 2019, the philosopher and ZDF presenter Richard David Precht held a lecture on the future of work at the sold-out Capitol Mannheim. The event dealt with the big questions of our time: What is the future of work and how is innovative value creation changing in digital change? The event was presented by STARTUP MANNHEIM in cooperation with the creative region of Rhein-Neckar and thanks to the active help of sponsors such as KÖNIGSWEG.

The digital revolution could radically change our ways of life and work just as the industrial revolution in the 19th century; the digitalization of work could cost millions of jobs - these are the central thesis of the speaker Richard David Precht on the future of work. Due to a huge interest, the Capitol in Mannheim was sold out with its 750 guests. After the philosopher's lecture, the guests from the start-up scene, industry and politics had the chance to join the discussion themselves.

KÖNIGSWEG actively supported the discussion event as a sponsor in order to promote the exchange and discussion of these major issues. Either in questions of technical challenges of implementing AI and data science in companies or the associated innovations in the work context, KÖNIGSWEG is committed to questions across industries and disciplines. According to KÖNIGSWEG Managing Director Sieer Angar, this is the only way that potential synergies can be used meaningfully and holistic solution concepts can be created.
