Data, AI and Lighthouse Projects: How good is our data and how do we make the most of it?

On 16 November 2021, Alexander Hendorf gave a guest lecture on Data & AI and lighthouse projects at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences. In his talk he showed students of all subjects that the added value from data and AI projects cannot be sustainably leveraged with lighthouse projects. Demonstrated through use cases, he showed how to successfully navigate the complexity of data-driven projects and shared practical advice on how to avoid common mistakes.

The bottom line is always: Analytics and AI are only as good as the data they are fed. For organizations, managing and harnessing the vast amount of heterogeneous and unstructured data is a real challenge.

In the further course, Alexander Hendorf presented requirements, common anti-patterns, and best practices for data-driven AI projects. This has shed light on the required data reference architecture as well as how to achieve the interaction from data source to result. Explicit focus was given to technologies, competencies, and factors that lead to success.

Alexander Hendorf is responsible for the area of data and artificial intelligence at KÖNIGSWEG. Through his commitment as a speaker and chair of various international conferences, he is a proven expert in the field of Data & Artificial Intelligence and often shares his knowledge through lectures, talks or conferences. He has many years of experience in the practical application, implementation and communication of data and AI-driven strategies and decision-making processes.
